e program outcome that I have achieved is providing high quality, safe, patientcentered care grounded in holistic health principles. Week 3 introduced the very first case study discussion. This assignment required us to read the case study which discussed a patient with Schizophrenia. There are many drug classes that can treat this diagnosis. However, the client age and history were important in deciding which drug treatment was appropriate for this client. Identifying the potential side effects and required test and follow-up interval had aid in preparation to provide high quality and safe prescribing practices. Another example from the course that supported my attainment of the outcome are the weekly practice questions. In each section of the weekly lessons, I completed the learn by applying interactive questions. These questions provided scenarios that required me to apply holistic health principles when answering the questions. For example, in week 6, I learned that holistic health principles are important to implement when treating patients with substance use disorder. Patient scenarios will not be the same in determining treatment. It will also be important to provide patient centered care and include the patient in every step of the treatment to increase the likelihood of success and adherence. Throughout the course, there are course outcomes. These outcomes have helped me to attain practice in PMHNP NONPF Independent Practice Competencies. One NONPF competency I attained is safely prescribing pharmacological agents for patients with mental health problems and psychiatric disorders. This was possible through course outcomes 3, 4, and 6. Course outcome 3 “is apply knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in
